I had the best time with my old quilt guild buddies! We sewed, laughed, ate, shopped and drank our way through a great getaway in this quaint Amish country town. I had plans and fabric I brought to make 5 purses from a pattern that had complicated instructions. It took me 2 days to complete this purse and would have taken more days were it not for Linda, Sue and Heidi's help. I guess I had my sights set too high to get all 5 purses sewn. The concept is to make the purse insert to use in several different outside purses so you can just change purses easily by taking the inside section out and plopping it into the other purses you make. I guess I'll make those other purses later. For now I'm just going to enjoy this one purse I completed. I love the fabric and was holding onto it for several years...don't laugh, quilters tend to hold onto their fabric purchases sometimes longer than a few years. So here's the photo of the front of the purse, the top of the purse, the insert and the inside showing all of the pockets with my stuff in it. Did I mention that we drank with dinner? I tried to limit that because I knew I would have to concentrate to complete this project.
The purse also has 2 outer pockets between the handles that were sewn down on the front and the back.
I did start another purse on Sunday morning before we had to pack up and leave.
I'll show photos of that one in a later blog.

B.J. I had a great time too! I can't wait until the next time we go to Berlin. I was exhausted when I got home and it took me two days to catch up. But it was well worth spending the weekend with my friends.
I didn't scroll to the bottom of your blogs the first time. Lily is pretty cute on your couch! I hope she was dainty when she jumped up there and didn't leave any nail marks. How can you not laugh?
Linda
