One of my dear friends bought me the book to make this sweater for Christmas last year. I thought this sweater was so great when I saw it on display at my local yarn shop, Knitters' Mercantile. It does seem like I should make it too because it's named Jeanne, which is how my middle name is spelled. I have the back done so far. I'll start the front tonight while we watch the opening NFL game.
This is a neckwarmer I made out of really soft merino wool. It's called the Birthday Cowl, but it will be a Christmas gift from me. If you like the pattern...it's free and you can find it here: http://novamade.typepad.com/novamade/2008/05/on-birthdays-and-giving.html
This is always a fun event pictured below. I volunteer at the Feridean, an assisted living and retirement community where they hold an OSU Pep Rally each year. Brutus comes plus some cheerleaders and the alumni band to get the crowd in the mood for football season. How do you like my shirt? I bought it from a gal here in Columbus who specially makes tie-dyed shirts. It's the O for Ohio State. If any of you are interested in seeing her website, let me know and I'll post it. Mark's looking spiffy in his Indiana Jones hat and our neighbors Terry and Vikki are sitting with us.
This is just a beautiful building in Mt. Vernon across from my son-in-laws mortgage company. It was a great day that I was there walking Luke in his stroller so I took this photo.
